Hi,
I have a strange problem installing Civil 3D 2011 x64 French on the following PC.
Windows 7 x64 SP1 French
16GB DDR3 RAM
120GB SSD
Quadro FX3800
The install seems to be running fine then, on the "Civil 3D 2011" step, it just stops and start rolling back changes.
I'm installing from a network deployment, so running my deployment in diagnostic mode is not possible since I have no network in that mode.
I'm including all the log files I have on my system.
I tested the network deployment on another similar PC and it works fine.
Anyone has an idea ?
Thanks
Here's a part from the end of the main log file.

The Microsoft Fix It tool didn't do anything useful in my case.
I found the solution from here : http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/Autodesk-AutoCAD-Mechanical-2012-will-not-insta...
Deleting the following registry keys did the trick ;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\
I had Civil 3D 2012 before on that machine but I uninstalled it.
If the "CheckForAcadExistence" error in the log is so obvious why the installer can't display an error like "Install failed because another Acad version was found" or something like that ?
Thanks
thanks for sharing the solution.
I will add this to the wish list to include this to the Error Message
