Civil 3D - Fixed Spiral between fixed tangent and fixed curve

Hi there,

I'm trying to recreate an existing alignment using Civil 3d 2012, however I can't get the right spiral.

The sequence is tangent + spiral+ curve. They are all fixed and I have the points where the spiral starts and ends.

Thanks.

Look at using a fixed line then adding a floating curve with spiral.  If you have the spiral length and curve radius you should be able to create something that passes through the specified points.

If you are starting and ending with two tangents. I tend to use the alignment creation tool that draws two tangents with 1 curve, delete the curve after the fact and then add in my free spiral - curve - spiral. Slightly different approach and a combination of things may get you what you want. I find if it's not working I delete entities and try different options. Good Luck!
