Civil 3D 2013 Crashing on Export to CAD when pipes in profile view

So I have been getting a fatal error "INTERNAL ERROR: !dbobji.cpp@8743: eNotOpenForWrite" when I try to export to 2010 CAD.

I have worked out that it happens when pipes are displayed in the profile view.

ANyone have this problem or know of a fix?

Yes we have tried a recover and audit and removed all xrefs

Check that none of the layers associated with pipes in profile view are locked/frozen.

Test: try exporting to ACAD 2013 first.  Then open that up and export again to 2010.

We ended up redoing the drawings and all is working fine now.

Keep getting the internal error.
Jon0001, redoing the drawings? What did you do exactly?

We ended up purging the Civil 3d of all excess settings and styles and it seemed to work.

Decided it would be the same or easier way: save c3d .dwg with proxy images, then open .dwg in plain autocad [, explode proxies and finally remove proxies if it's nessesary].
