Civil 3D 2010 plan and plan & profile template files missing

I am trying to set up view frames to produce both plan and plan & profile sheets and the template files are missing. I have done full installs with the software and it cannot locate the template files... anyone know the solution or where i can get these template files.

Thanks

Are you saying that if you have your Toolspace set to Master View (top), the
Drawing Templates are not shown on the bottom of the Prospector?

With toolspace set to master view(top), i am seeing "VIEW FRAMES GROUP", and when i "create view frames, i get the to "sheets" option.... I cannot go further because it says that the template file is not found for either plan, profile or plan & profile. It's like the tamplates files don't exist.

Thanks

If you're looking for the default templates that ship with Civil 3D,
type in OPTIONS > Files tab > expand the Template Settings > Drawing
Template File Location. That will tell you where the templates reside.
Open the folder with Windows Explorer and you will see a Plan
Production folder, which houses the default templates.

If you don't have the files there, you could try a repair of C3D.

However, from your reply to Bill (wfb), it seems you have View Frames
already and you are trying to create sheets, at which point CreateSheets
is informing you that the template which was used to create the View
Frames is not available. In that case it's likely that a custom
template was used to create the VFs, and you could ask the person who
provided you the drawing to provide the template also.

To see which template the tool is looking for, select a view frame from
the group, right click & choose View Frame Properties... and switch to
the Sheet tab. Look at the "Template source:" for the name and location
of the template file the tool is attempting to located.

If you enable Event Viewer to be opened when needed, that should also
show you helpful information when such situations occur.
