chord distance

How do you draw a distance on an arc. I have the radius and need to go 61.62 feet on the arc. Is there a way to do this an easy way.

Several ways. One would be to draw the arc with the proper radius at any
length and use the LENGTHEN command to kick the arc back to the required
length...

As per Scott:

I use lengthen all the time. LE in the acad.pgp is one of my favorites.

I have never used that before. I will change that in my acad.pgp

Thanks
