checking in a surface

I know this wounds like a dumb question, but I am unable to get my surface to show up in the vault!

I have my surface in x-topo.dwg. I added it to my project (yes I checked the boxes allowing the surface to come w/) Then I check my project and there is nothing there for surface! I have been able to do this successfully (in a different project) before..what could I be doing wrong here? Thanks!

have you refreshed the project view? Sometimes it needs to be forced to
refresh. In prospector, select the project in question, right click and
choose Refresh.

If that isn't it, please verify that you checked it into the right project.

When you first run the Add to project wizard, it prompts you for the project
you wish to check it into - it defaults to the "Active" project, and if you
want it to go to a different one, but miss this step, you could have added
it to the wrong project by mistake (I've done it a couple of times myself).

Hope that helps.

Yes. and Yes.

I just checked both of these things....the drawing containing the surface is there...just the surface is not. I have tried this over and over again .. it is just not working. I have no idea what to do about this now. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

after trying anything and everything and fatal error after fatal error in between....the surface showed up!

the last thing I tried before noticing it was finally there...was..I noticed that the working folder for vault (prospector) was different from the vault explorer...I set them to the same...then it showed up. Only now, I get a fatal error everytime I try to open (chek-out) the dwg file containing the surface! Any ideas.
