Certain annotative text shrinks to 1/25 its size in viewport.

This is issue arises when i have been working on a drawing for a while with multiple xref/data shortcuts. The model space text is all the correct size yet once I enter a layout the annotative text relating to 3D elements such as Alignments/Profile Station/Elevation Labels shrink to 1/25 their size. Other annotative objects such as Mtext and Multileaders are not effected. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Attached are before and after pictures

Hello MikeSeymour5104,

Civil 3D labels, those that are used in Alignment and Profile labels among others, are controlled by Object Label Styles. Each object has its own label styles.

The size of the label automatically changes when your drawing scale changes. While working on the Model tab your Civil 3D labels will size themselves in relation to the current Annotation Scale, the Pop-up at the bottom of the screen.

When working in a viewport on a Layout tab, that scale might be different. If so, when you move from the model tab to a layout tab, the labels will re-size themselves so that they match the scale of the viewport.

If you set the current annotation scale on the Model tab to match the zoom scale in the Viewport on the Layout tab, your labels will look the same size in each location.

Control the size of the labels by editing the label style.

Best regards,

Tim

C3d object text is based on the drawing scale in model space and the viewport scale in paper/layout space. So if your viewport/layout scale is not the same as the drawig scale your c3d object text will appear larger or smaller compared to model space. The c3d object text is not the same as annotative text.

Hey guys this ended up being the solution.

"One more thing to check, Open plot dialog and verify the plot scale unit is set to mm and not inches as this can also be a factor for layout scaling problems."
