Carbon-60 structure

Hello everyone,

Anyone knows how to draw the carbon-60 structure by using AutoCad Cilvil 3D 2012?

A little more information might be helpful.   a picture, maybe some description of what carbon 60 is and what you want to show.

Hi,

I used the commands:

  • _POLYGON (some with 5, some with 6 sides)
  • _ARRAY (and EXPLODE if you use 2012 as I did)
  • _REGION (to convert the polylines from command _POLYGON to renderable objects)
  • _MIRROR (to duplicate the bottom half, may be not necessary, _COPY may be enough)
  • _ALIGN (to align the mirrored objects on top of the first half construction)

[EDIT] I forgot a great command!

  • _UCS

[/EDIT] 😉

And on the beginning I have to get the angle for how much do the first hexagons to be rotated upwards.

Please find info's to the commands (and options available within the commands) >>>here<<<

Good luck, - alfred -
