Cant Explode Point style and retain components (c3d 2010)

An Architect needs a 'dumbed' down dwg.
I use c3d 2010
my usual method for architects is
    explode all (3x)
qselect,  hatch, pattern name, solid, erase
    export to acad 2000

the attached tree point blocks when exploded lose
the circular components.

any ideas? (besides telling the architect to use object enabler)

You need to set the z scale factor equal to the x/y factors, then they explode properly. As they are now, they explode to 0,0 unscaled.

You're welcome. To add to this, I have seen this enough in the past with other's drawings that I decided to log a support request. Brendan in C3D support figured out that if the block used for the symbol has the "Scale uniformly" setting toggled On we get the behaviour you were seing. Edit the blocks to allow non-uniform scales and then you can specify different scales for the Marker and it will explode as it should.

So there are 2 workarounds for this. It's hard to say whether the higher-ups will see this as a defect or 'as designed'.
