Can't edit profile

Am using 3D 2005, created a profile and need to edit some PVIs. The PVI edit buttons and the cell information are grayed out and I cannot edit the profile line. Any suggestions?

You can edit your alignment. Did you try that.

Hi,

Try manipulating the profile in the profile view using the grips. With the
layout tools, you can delete or add PVIs, change vertical curve parameters,
move the all or some of the profile up or down, etc. But you can do a fair
amount of editing just with the grips.

What type of profile is it? If you created a profile from surface
("dynamic") you would have to change the update mode to static before you
can edit the PVIs. You can changed the update mode by right-clicking on the
profile and editing its properties.

H Gohel - you are the man or woman, whatever the case may be. I now remember reading about that somewhere, but had forgotten it....I don't have a useful book to use....Thanks for your help...have a good one.

I encountered the same problem. I went to the Profile Properties, Profile Data tab, and can't figure out how to change the Update Mode. There is a column for Update Mode, but the box is blank, and clicking on it does nothing. Any ideas?
