I have a project that I need to move to a different coordinate system in order to meet regulatory guidelines. Currently the project is in an "assumed" coordinate system that I don't want to lose because we have been working in that system for a long time. I would like to copy the database (including figures, etc) to create another one (with a different name of course) that I will then translate to the required coordinate system. Is the only option to Export an XML, create a new Survey Database & then import that XML?

SB,
Here's a thread that discusses that very topic:

Thanks for the response, but all I see in that other topic is instruction for exporting Survey Database settings- not copying or exporting Survey Database data and settings.
SB,
That's what you do. First export the settings, then use them as a "template".

So essentially you want a backup or a copy.!
Hopefully I got it right.
In file explorer make a copy and rename your Survey db folder.
In C3D select the Survey db collection, right click and refresh.
Will that work. I have done it and have not run into issues.
