Can I limit the lenth my TIN surface triangulates?

I am creating a surface, the surface is kinda horshoe shaped.  I have triangle that reach distances up to and over 6 miles.

Is there a way to set my surface style that is only triangulates 50 feet or 100 feet or something?  Hope fully my question makes sense.

Using C3D 2012.

You can, in the prospector right click on your surface and go to Surface Properties.  Next go to the definition tab, then expand the build section, in the build section there is a "Use Maximum Triangle Length row, set the value to Yes.  Then in the Maximum Triangle Length row (directly below the row previously mentioned) set your Maximum Length.  Hit your Applies and oks to exit and off you go.
