C3D-SELECTION SETTING

Hello,

I am using C3D 2014.

I just tried to dimension between lines and the dimension command was prompting me to select the object line instead of allowing me to pick a point on the screen.  The same for selecting a surface and setting a spot elevation label, I am prompted to select a point instead of a screen location.  What setting have I changed to cause this performance?

This is awhat I am prompted when applying a Linear Dimension:

Command: _dimlinear
Specify first extension line origin or <select object>:

But the <select object> is inactive and I'm able to click a point on screen for ends of dimmension to be placed.

As for the Spot Elevation label here's the prompts:

_AeccAddSurfaceSpotElevLabel
Surface:  EG
Select a Point:

AFAIK, in both cases, it's the same as you've described here.

Ok, It must be that I am not getting the snap icon, just a cursor box.  So if I select nearest, the snap symbol for nearest does not appear.  It appears different from what I am used to, some setting has changed.  Is there a setting for the snap icon?
