C3D frozen before moving mouse

C3D is simply frozen after for example a command like zoom extents. Having copied something, ctrl+v simple does not work before I move the mouse a little. It's quite annoying and I'm pretty sure that C3D2014 is the first version since acad10 (10, not 2010) in wich this happens. Right now the programm has to be told a few hundred times a day it has to wake up and get ready for input. A fix would be nice imo

Do you see the same behavior when somebody else logs to your machine? Any difference if you turn off/on "Enable Hardware Acceleration" toggle from 3DCONFIG? Try launching program by right-click and "Run as Administrator"?

There is only 1 acount on this PC. My collegea that works stand alone as well has the exact same behaviour After disabling hardware acceleration and restarting C3D it's still frozen after zoom extend and unable to paste with ctrl+v. The command line is empty and after touching the mouse a little 'type a command' reappears. I tried both as administrator and with 'normal' mode

One other thing you could try is to see if you could determine the cause. What you are experiencing looks to me like some kind of application conflict. Can you determine when the issue first occured and were there any changes to your system around that time (updates, install of some adons, upgrade, etc.).

If you ran program in diagnostic mode that would perhaps tell you if conflict is to blame. Here is how: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Startin...

Good luck.

3 people I work with, all from different companies with have the same problem. My bet: every C3D 2014 has this issue. How about yours? I was told it's going to be fixed btw. I get spam by users like ThomasT156 (New Member) and engineerT34 (New Member) that send a link to a PDF with a solution, first I have to login blabla. Those posts are gone but in my mail it's still there. A warning E-mail after deleting such posts might prevent some from downloading viruses or worse

I don't expereince that issue on my end. It seems to me that it may be related to drivers. You may try upgrading your graphic and mouse drivers or rolling them back. Sometimes that helps.

I doubt that you don't have that issue because every PC with C3D 2014 I saw has it. Try this: Z (enter) E (enter) Look at your command line, is it blank? Now touch your mouse and 'type a command' appears?

Not sure if this is what you are referring. I can run Zoom>Extent and the command line is blank since the command is completed and I can type new command without touching the mouse. See video:

When you mentioned Civil 3D is freezing it sounded that program hangs. Am I wrong and the program in fact cannot accept commands?

Thanks for posting the vid. When the command line is blank ctrl+v is not working and that was exactly my issue.
Message 10 of 13

I was just typing commands in the command line (not using paste). I was also able to copy, zoom>extent and paste with no problem. See:

2 posts ago your cmd was blank as well. In your last vid it is not after zoom extend. Did you touch your mouse a tiny bit? It's the only way to unblank the cmd line and make ctrl+v work and right now I get the feeling you're trying to trick me...
