I spent 2 weeks with x64, gave up and reformatted with x32 Windows XP Pro.
Maybe someone has a method, now.

Did you ever try to PUSH a rope upstream? Your time will be best served by
reformatting and dropping x64.
AutoDesk is not supporting this.

My opinion.

I was running C3D'06 on my x64, and very happy with it, but when '07 came out I had to give up and go back to XP also. I found that you could manually load the arx files sometimes but not all of them, and not all the time. The other problem that comes up is that x64 is not listed as an operating system in the XML file that is used by the Performance Tuner, so you get no video hardware optimization.
Both of these bugs are fairly minor, and hopefully Autodesk is working toward 64 bit support when Vista is released.
