What is the status on a service pack to address the crashing issues?
It is already mid-November and I recently received our 90-day pre-bill for our next Subscription, yet we do not have a current stable product.
I am hitting the Audit command just about every other command now and still crashing frequently. Especially on various Corridor operations such as extracting feature lines, etc..
I have sent countless feedback retracing my steps for Autodesk and it is getting annoying and tiresome.
Where is the product leadership at Autodesk on this?
My guess is that they'll issue a Service Pack to provide Win 8 compatibility which will break some functionality that I rely on (see Drive Command in 2012....that took about 9 months to fix, not even sure if it is working properly as I'm now on 2013)
Win 8? That would be inexcusable.
Here are the stated system requirements from Autodesk for C3D 2013. This is the data we have based our company budget decisions on:
Win 8 compatibility is inevitable.....never mind though....if Autodesk are to be believed we'll be doing all our designs "in the cloud" via iPads...
It would be inexcusable to leapfrog Win 7 stability, and holdback on releasing a service pack, to focus on Win 8 compatibility.
Get the product stable on Win 7 first. This is how it was sold to us.
Civil 3D 2013 was released over half a year ago...The service pack for it is WAY late....
