C3D 2010 - Fatal Error

I am getting the following fatal error when running
C3d 2010.

Unhandled e0434f4dh exception at 7c81eb33h

Sometimes, this error occurs on startup, and
sometimes it does not happen until I try to click on the ribbon. 

I have submitted CER's a couple times and done
enough initial investigation to see that .Net 3.5 SP1 seems to be the
culprit. 

I have already attempted the
following:

Repaired the .net installation

Repaired C3D installation

Uninstalled .Net 3.5 SP1 and reinstalled
it

Renamed the Civil 3D portion of the Registry in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER and let the C3D repair it

Uninstalled and Reinstalled Civil 3D

and I Still have this problem. 

I installed the software yesterday and it was
running fine.  I worked with it this morning and it was fine.  Then, I
suddenly had the problem.  Any additional suggestions/fixes would be much
appreciated, as I am dead in the water with this machine right now.

Just out of curiosity, how did you determine that the problem is related to .NET 3.5 SP1?
