C3D 2009 Update 2.1 Issues

After installing the new update 2.1, has anyone experienced AutoCAD
closing unexpectedly or locking up by just using "Zoom - All" or
"Saveas"? It seems to be happening to me randomly yesterday and today.
I cannot recreate it.

Thanks,
Dave D

Oh no, that is just the nature of the program. Mine crashes at least 5 times a week for no apparent reason. I first thought it was a network issue, but that doesn't always correlate. My theory is that the program has been posessed.

I installed it yesterday morning, and I'm not experiencing any issues at
all. It seems that my out of memory issues have been eliminated as
well, though I haven't tested that to it's limits.

I saveas whenever I start a new drawing and seems fine to me.

After a few days with 2.1 installed - I'm running pretty good here.

Glad to see the stepped offset issue was taken care of.
I can etranmit like a charm again

Better stop while I'm ahead.

But don't worry. I think Allen Turing said there is no way you can predict exactly what an algorithm will do. So, we shouldn't shoulder AutoDesk with to much of the blame.

Glad to hear it's working for some.

Now the "Quick Elevation Edit" for feature lines is flaking out - the
glyphs do not appear and I can't edit any lines. Update 2.0 seemed to be
more stable. I might end up waxing my install and going back to Update
1 since I deleted Update 2 and can't download it.

You've gotta be joking..... It would almost be too unreasonable to expect something stable out of an application that has been around for so long, and HAS been relied upon so heavily. Just wait for 2010 to come out right?

My glyphs appear just fine with 2.1 installed.

Hi Matt. It's random. One minute they work, the next minute they
don't. I have to exit ACAD then reload for them to work again. and
it's only happen in one particular drawing (so far).

David,

That is not a 2.1 bug. That happens in 2008 sp3 even.
