bridge design with autodesk in general

Hello!

I am looking for the right ADESK-Tool to design a bridge. Which application would you prefer in this case?

- Civil 3D (are there mass elements possible?)
- ADT
- Inventor?

Are you talking about designing and drawing the bridge layout geometry, or
the Structural design of the bridge components ?

Hello,

i mean both kinds of design.

Which application would you prefer as well for bridge layout geometry as for the Structural design?
Focus is mainly on Structural design.

Hi,

Using suitable techniques Civil 3D can do significant parts (if not all) of
the layout geometry.

I would search the web for structural programs which can use AutoCAD drawing
data. You have to be careful here as most Structural programs of which I'm
aware are written for specific design codes and a program which may be
brilliant in Australia will be useless in the USA and visa versa.

For detailed Structural drafting the following web site may be of interest:

The StructPLUS software is parametric driven and can significantly improve
drafting speed of structural details. I have not seen it running for a
couple of years now and would expect it to be further improved since then.
