Breaking an Alignment

I have an alignment that I want to break at a point and delete the rest of the alignment after this same point. I used the 'delete sub- entity' icon on the Alignment Geometry toolbar. How can I successfully split the alignment?

Add a PI where you want to split it, then use the Break-Apart PI button. Then delete the sub-entities. If you are using C3D 2010 with Subscription Extension you can Create Alignment from Existing which will create a new alignment from the old.

Hello!

When I divide an alignment to to parts, the lables of the second part are missing.

Can I assembley two alignments in one?

Thank you!

The segments all have to connect, end-to-end, in order for it to apply stationing to the entire length.  Plus they all need to be created in the same relative direction.  If the two parts are tangent segments, you can simply grip edit them so that their endpoints connect.  Or, you can edit the alignment geometry and add an additional line or curve segment between them.
