Hi,
I'm a brand new user so hopefully this is an easy question for some of you.
Given a drawing of 3d polyline topo data i was asked to create a profile view.
I got out a training book and simply followed the instructions given to create a profile view from a surface.
The profile view is blank.
Attached is a screan shot of what I am dealing with.
Thank you all!

Check the profile style.
Check all layers on & thawed.
Check the stations & elevations set for the profile view: if you set them yourself you could be out of range of the surface.
Close program & reopen.
Just a few thoughts.

Thanks I appreciate that unfortunately I'm still at a loss, any further ideas would be hugely appreciated.
What i did do is create a standard surface and allignment to use. I used the create profile from surface comand and stuck to the standard settings. I have been messing around with the settings for quite a while.
Thanks guys,
I do have surfaces listed in the profiles tab of the view properties.
The elivation I'm using is accurate.
Please let me know if any other ideas come to mind.
Go to the Surface Properties and :
If you uncheck an item the surface will not use it when rebuilt. Once you verify that it's not needed you can right click and remove it.
