.bil file import to Civil 3D

Greetings,

I am using Civil 3D 2011, working in a local coordinate system. I can relate this local grid to the State Plane Grid. I would like to import a DTM or .bil file and have it come in on my local grid. Question: If I have my zone and transformation settings set up correctly, can I then import the .bil or DTM and have it come in on my local grid?

I'm not sure about .bil but .dtm should import.   although i'm not sure whether the transformation settings will effect a surface.

You can import a raster .BIL file using the _MAPIINSERT command.
