Bearing Leading Zero

I am setting up M&B labels and tryinh to get a leading zero in the direction. I have a 9 deg angle and when I drop the leading zero in the label I get N009. I would like to see N09. Is ther a setting I am misiing? Something is inconsistant in the attachment as well. Both the delta and ch direction have the leading zeros turned on. Why does 9 deg show as 009 and 24 deg show as 24?

my quick response would be in the tool space, settings tab, general, right click, select edit feature settings, scroll down the list to direction, change option for drop leading zeros

Thanks John but that did not work. I am thinking I should be able to set the label to drop the zero and perhaps use an IF statement in an expression to get the leading zero...

John, one is an Angle, the other is a Direction. Angles, for whatever reason, Autodesk gave us that extra leading 0...probably because they can have 3 digits in the degrees (137d15') whereas Bearings stop at 90 degrees so just the 10's place leading 0 is provided. We've griped to Autodesk about not wanting the 100's place 0 in angles, but thus far it has fallen on deaf ears.

This is a pretty big bummer for our surveyors. I have no had luck with an expression.

Do you have any workaround outside of programming one?

I haven't even figured out a good way to program one, although I just threw my hands up and said the heck with the leading 0 for angles, but kept them for bearings. The plan checkers finally got tired of arguing, I guess, because the last few maps went through without a hitch. More feedback to Autodesk on this might get it fixed.

Here is the solution I found for removing the Leading Zeros, at least from Angles.

Toolspace -> Settings -> Edit Drawing Settings (right click on drawing name at the top)

Select Ambient Settings Tab.

Under Angle modify the setting "Drop Leading Zeros for Degrees" to YES

Now for the irritating part. You have to edit the Label Style that you want to change.  Selecting the Angle Component that needs to be modified and deleting it. Exit Component Editor.  Go back into Component Editor and reapply the Angle Component you want.

Hope this is somewhat helpful,

John,

Were you seeing N009 or was that a typo? If you actually seeing that. It's an anomaly. I can't recreate that.
