Band Style to display either dia or width / height

I have a pipe network containing pipes, some of which are circular and some of which are box culverts.

I have profile views with a band set to display pipe details. I want to display the diameter of circular pipes and the width / height of the box culverts. Obviously I can have separate band styles but in profile views where I have both pipes and culverts I need to assign one style.

Where I have pipes the width / height variable is displayed as ??? and where I have culverts the dia variable is displayed as ???.

Is there a way to display only the relevant dimension?

Thanks.

Post your drawing and we might be able to come up with an expression that ignores the blank data, therefore not placing ??? .

Thanks Tim, I came up with a workaround of creating two separate pipe band styles, displaying them over the top of eachother and then deleting the superfluous text from each (shift delete)
