Autosave - Object Viewer and crashes

Hi,

No one ever remembers what they were doing when they get a crash, but Rad
has told me about a possible link with being in the Object Viewer when an
Autosave chips in.

Can anyone add to the anecdotal evidence for this?

Drawing 1
1.34 Mb
2 alignments
mainline 1000 ft
side road 250 ft
1 corridor w/ 2 baselines each baseline has 1 region
1 surface 691000 sq ft
autosave increment 2 minutes (just for this test. Normal is 20 min.)
ISAVEPERCENT = 50
used object viewer on corridor for several minutes: No Problem.
Drawing 2
5.5 Mb
1 alignment 17,600 ft long
2 surfaces
srf 1: 125,891,722 sq ft
srf 2: 8,618,740 sq ft
1 corridor, full length of alignment. 1 baseline 1 region
Used object viewer of corridor for a short time.
Program crashed
I can't say for sure that the crash resulted from autosave because I had the object viewer at full screen and couldn't see the command line to know when auto save started, but with the short interval, nothing else going on in C3D and no other programs running, it seems like a good possibility.

A little more info about my post above that may or may not be relevant.
In Drawing 1 the max. grade of the surface is 1958%
The min. grade is 0.13%
In Drawing 2 the max grade is 16,275%
The min. grade is 0.00%
the smaller of the 2 surfaces is the topo collected by our surveyors. The larger surface is a portion of the USGS quad with the smaller surface pasted into it.
Drawing 2 is not a production drawing. I use it for experimentation and for educating myself.
