Automatic label for existing and proposed sampled surfaces in profile view

I am looking for a label with a leader or arrow that points to the line representing a sampled surface in a profile view and says "EXISTING GRADE" or "PROPOSED GRADE".  More importantly, I want the arrow or leader to move as the sampled surface changes.  I am currently using a profile view station and elevation label.  Every time the surface changes, you have to move it.

Ideas?

Set your profiles descriptions accordingly and use it in a profile label style, or gen note style

What you'll need to do is create a profile label style under the Line group and put the profile name in the label. To add the label to your profile you pick a profile element such as a line segment, Rt Click and select Edit Labels. In the Dialogue, select Lines in the Type drop down and then you should see you Name label available in the styles drop down. Add the label using the Add button, apply and you should see the name labels on your profile line segments. Use weeding to reduce the number of labels where there are too many segments close together (such as for sampled profiles). The labels will behave just like Featureline labels, you can slide them along tangents or drag them off the line with a leader.

I was wrong about being able to slide the labels along the line. They will be fixed at the point on the tangent you specify in the style (i.e. start, end, mid).
