Autodesk 360 Sign in from Civil 3d not working

When I try to sign in to Autodesk 360 from within C3d 2014 SP2 nothing happens.

Same from within C3d 2015 SP1.

Is there some setting I can change so the Autodesk 360 sign in feature works from the Autodesk 360 location on upper right of Ribbon?

Or how is one supposed to sign into 360 from within the software?

I thought I was on the cusp of understanding what's happening but haven't been able to quite pin it down.

The caption I posted indicates I'm logged in as Jay_B but as you can see it states "Sign into Autodesk 360" rather than "sign out".

After wondering if being logged in as Jay_B to Disc. Groups @ the same time  could be creating a conflict, I logged out of Disc. Groups and now am able to Log into and out of 360 normally? This just has me more confused. Smiley Happy

I also should mention I've been going back & forth between C3d 2015 & C3d 2014 the last couple of days experimenting w/ the Live Maps Feature and am fairly new to using 360.

I'm unable to uninstall 360 but what is recommended? I can have IT uninstall it if need be.

Thanks for your help on this Darren.

Turns out the issue seems realated to not signing out of 360 properly.

If I regularly sign out of 360 at end of day etc. then I'm able to login normally.

When I don't sign out and leave for the day, 360 gets understandably confused and acts unresponsive from within C3d.

C3d is the only place I've used Adesk 360 recently, I have also tried it for Infraworks but a while ago.

At the end of the day yesterday as a test, I intentionally remained logged into 360, closed all programs & locked my cpu.

Then remotely accessed cpu and tried to sign out and it was unresponsive again but I do go back and forth between 2014 & 2015.

If I'm signed into 360 in 2015, close 2015 w/out signing out of 360, then launch 2014 my name will appear on 360 sign in (in any version I open), but It will be unresponsive, then I'll have to open 2015 (or version signed into / logout of 360 & relaunch 2014?

It's all very confusing, but as long as I sign out regularly, then all is well in the 360 world.

Joe,

Do you by chance have 2015 installed on your system?

Hi Darren
I'm apprehensive to do so since I do not see it on the deployment list.
How would I re-install it?

You would need to run set up from the disk or admin image that was originally used.

and just to add a few heebie jeebies here. 😉

I uninstalled 360 last week and tried to reinstall from the disk. The reinstalled failed. I believe because the rest of the suite had a bunch of updates installed via the application manager. I get an error stating that a newer version is installed....

I think I have to unistall the entire suite to get 360 reinstalled.

you may have to dig down into the install and find the cloudsync.msi file to reinstall

i don't remember the exact path

something like this x64/components/adsksync

That did the trick. Thanks Darren. Sorry I can't give you a solution. This is Joe's thread and this is a side topic...

FYI adsync.msi was the file I found in the admin image.
