Hello, There!!!

i am having problem printing my drawing on autocad civil 3d 2010. i have attached a zoning file on top of the existing file. and change the plot style to make it work. but when i do print preview, it doesnt show me the attached file....

i am not quite sure, what am i doing wrong?

I would really appreciate it, if someone can help me ASAP.

Thanks,

Make sure the layer the attchment is on is not a 'No Plot' layer. Hint, when you attach a reference file, it is placed on the current layer and treated like a block. If the current layer is set to 'No Plot', the entire reference file will not show up when plotting.

It's not showing me my attached file on print preview with any plot style table.

don't know if it's not recognising the attached file. and if yes, then why is it not recoginising???

When you say attach.. Are you saying you used xref?

Is the file you "attached" a DWG?

Is the file on the defpoint layer?

yes i xref the file... and it is a DWG file

also, i don't think so its on defpoint layer...but at the same time, i just realised that under layer properties..my defpoint layer's plot is froze... and i can't unfreeze it...

defpoints is an unplottable layer. I fyour xref is on the defpoint layer change the xref's layer in properties to layer 0 or some other layer that is plottable

never mind.. it worked...

from the xref file, every layer was on PLOT except the viewport layer..

i guess it was just a matter of clicking that viewport PLOT button on...

but, thanks for helping ....!!!
