Assembly offsets and corridor parameters

Why do the corridor parameters want you to assign a profile to an assembly offset? The elevation at the offset point is frequently governed by the assembly parameters. For instance, cross slope governs when using "hold grade, change offset" on a lane transition, but the corridor still requests a profile be assigned to the offset.

The problem is - if you don't assign a profile, it grades to zero elevation at the offset. If you do assign a profile, it is virtually impossible to define an offset profile that mimics a constant cross slope, and if you update your centerline profile, you have to manually update your offset profiles.

Am I the only one using offsets and having this problem?

Man that's awful. I've been waterskiing ever since. Heads up dude. The water's fine once you get used to it.
