Archiving jobs with Data Short cuts

I've been worried about how to do this and am looking for confirmation:

I thought I was going to have to jump through all kinds of repathing hoops to archive a project and was wondering how others do it.

I copied a project folder that contained everything related the the drawing files and civil3d xml files etc. I then opened a sheet file and the DS editor and see the DS file is still looking in the original location and the Source drawing path updated the the archive path on its own! I was surprised and the drawings seem to be reading the data as expected.

Do I need to repath the DS path or can it be left alone? If it needs to be changed - how is that done?

Thank you

I think your going to have to use the DS editor to remap if you want the new location.

the data shortcut editor in 2008 shows the DS file greyed out. Is there awat around this aside from redoing every DS? My list is somewhat lenghty times 48 sheets. Thanks for checking in.
