ArcGrid to DEM

I have NED elevation data that I obtained from a seamless data server in
ArcGrid format. I want to create a surface from the data but as far as I
know I need to convert it to DEM format first. The server only provides the
data in ArcGrid, BIL, GoTiff and GRIDFLOAT formats. I can't find a
translator and I don't have ArcGis here. How can I get this data into a
surface model?

just adding my complaint....all ned .adf files that I try to import (through data connections or by adding to DEM surfaces) either crash Civil3d or give a message "failed to connect"

this bug (not connecting to esri arcgrid) was just fixed in map3d service pack 2,
but the fix is not in civil3d service pack 2pt1. too bad.

Isn't it nice that bug fixes like this will be fixed (maybe?) in the
next release, which costs a few thousand dollars? Also, if Civil is
supposed to be based on Map 3D, why are the fixes for Map not being
integrated with Civil?
