Anyone using a HP T1200 plotter?

We are looking at replacing our current HP designjet 1055cm with a new HP designjet T1200 and I'm looking for some printer reviews before we buy.

Do you have any experince with the T1200?

Would you please give me some feed back as to whether or not it plays well with AutoCAD? Has it given you any issues, do you love it or hate it?

We'll be running ESRI ArcGIS as well, do you know if this printer plays well with ArcGIS?

Any experince shared would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Is anyone running the T1200 or the T1200 Multifunction?

We are currently using an HP 800 (820 Multifunction) for AutoCAD and ArcGIS printing and scanning.  Anyone offer suggestions on comparisons?

Thanks.

We have a T1200 in our main office.  Does everything we ask of it, which, frankly isn't much volume-wise  We plot directly from CAD and photoshop/adobe.  Mostly its civil drawings with some color lines (utilites, redlines and the like). We also plot exhibits with aerials.  It handles both pretty well.  There's a couple driver tweaks we had to make, but nothing more than we do with any new printer or plotter we get in.

If the flourescent HP Scanner comes with it... eh, not a big fan.  The new LED scanners are much more user freindly.

''That's the way we've always done it'' is an excuse, not a reason.

We've had a T1200 for years and it's been a workhorse. While we still outsource out finished prints for larger sets, the T1200 works well with CAD/Adobe and prints well. The maintenence has been minimal as compared to the T2300 which seems to go down every other week.

Pros: Reliable, cheap(relatively).

Cons: the cutting blade is inconsistent at times and will produce sheets that are +/- 0.1" off from standard.

4 of 5 stars.
