Annotation Scale

ArGH!

This annotation scale from Xref reminds me of the layer filters that got WAY out of control.

Is there a way to avoid the 5 completely identical 1"=30' scale that tag along with the XREF?
1:30, 1:30_XREF, 1:30_XREF_XREF, 1:30_XREF_XREF_XREF etc...

A little more digging and found this macro in the Autocad group.

Just added it as a custom command and dragged it to the tool pallette.
