I would like to know how to get an annotative label to work in paper space. How?
I have a county plat that shows section corners and appropriate section lines, and we utilize MS for the model and have no issues with that part.
We put our labels in model space (Bearings/Distance) and have set up label styles for (M) measured and (R) recoreded - no issues with that part.
The part I can't seem to figure out is why when i try to show my crows feet on the overall distance of the section line that is broken between the MS and PS viewport - How can i get the crows feet label style to "read" the end point of the line in PS? None of my label styles will label is PS.
Is this "As Designed"?
Must be...
I've gotten the LS to simply insert the block we use for the crows feet into PS and move onto other battles for C3D 2013.
But, i'm open to revising my label styles if they work in PS and i just haven't stumbled upon it yet.
Thoughts?

You can't place Civil 3D labels in paper space that reference objects in model space viewports (The way AutoCAD dimensions can). Civil 3D labels must be applied directly to the objects in model space.
I am a surveyor and accomplish what you've described using view ports
model space
same map in paper space
It goes beyond that.
You can't put a label in PS. (Period)
I put a line in PS - tried to label it with Bearing/Distance.
Nope
Tried to put a crows feet on it.
Nope
To me that means - No labels PERIOD in PS.
Haven't tried to create a parcel in PS yet, but may for kicks and grins....
Thoughts anyone...
If form follows function - NO labels in PS. (PERIOD)

Hold the phone!
What I just now found was that indeed it will put labels on an entity in PS.
However, it will put the labels in MS.
I tried to create a parcel from a polyline in PS and it went ahead and created the parcel.
What was missing was the parcel label (Lot #, Sq Ft, Acres).
I also had a line in PS and tried to label it. Nope.
So, then I thought...let's check MS for anything...like maybe the labels from the parcel.
Wallaa...
The lables for the parcel and the labels for the line (both still in PS) are in MS.
Nice huh?
I'm sure that is a feature and not a bug though!
Case closed...
Maybe...
going to submit ticket with Autodesk and see what comes from them for an answer.
