Alley Corridor

Hi All,

What's the best way to model an alley with a 90 degree angle (turn).  Do I treat it as an intersection with a zero radius?  My typ section is 15 feet width with a 4% slope down to the center of pavement.  "V" bottom.  Not sure how to get it to model the outside corner and also eliminate the inside overlay.  Thanks,

I don't know if I would necessarily use the Intersection tools, but I would make a multi-baseline corridor to handle this.

If you're not familiar the feature, a Corridor can have multiple alignments defined as Baselines. Each will have its own design profile and assembly.

See the attached simple corridor with 90 degree corner.

I don't see the advantage of using a multi-baseline Corridor?

One baseline, and you would not have to monitor and update the common PVI across two profiles.

Good show mate!  Let's kick it up a notch..   A mitered interior corner cleanup for the intersection:

One corridor, one assembly, one profile...fully dynamic.

Care to share the drawing Fred? I would love to see your approach to this. I think I know how you did it but I'm not positive.

I like Fred's result as he is able to include cross secitons in the mitered area. Do you care to expound?
