Alignment Intersection Labels

Okay guys,

I want to create a label style that will create the station equations for the intersecting alignments and the coordinates for the intersection point.... something such as:

STA X+XX.XX (Alignment A)+
STA X+XX.XX ( Alignment B)
N=XXXXXX.XX
E=XXXXXX.XX

Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.....

General note labels and reference text. C3D 07 only, of course....

This isn't what you called me about on Fri, is it? (sorry, at a
client, can't call - will try to call after hours tonight)

No, we figured out Friday's issue. We manipulated the station offset label to get the coordinates at the radius points for our returns. This is a new one for the day. Travis is becomming quite intimate with Styles at the moment!

Did the one that I sent you work for what you needed?

This is what I need, but I don't seem to understand how to use it. I tried
inserting it as a block, but it does not show up. I assume this is much
more complex and needs to be added as a style or something, but I am not
sure what. How do I go about labeling the intersection of two crossing
alignments?

After you added it to the Civil 3D drawing and If you go to add labels it should be in a general note label. Just add the note and choose the two alignments when prompted. You should be able to change it in the properties window.

Why would you use a General Note label instead of a Station Offset label for this? Is there any difference?

From what I can tell, General Notes and Alignment Station Offset labels are basically the same, except for where they are located in the Settings tree and in the "Add Labels" dialog. So I would tend to create a label like this as a Station Offset label, so that it appears with the other Alignment labels, rather than mixed-in with the General Note labels. But I'm guessing it makes no difference, except from an organizational standpoint.

Honestly - because I wanted to....

Not being cheeky here, but I keep my highly customized and "combination"
labels (those requiring multiple reference texts) in my general note
location. It's easy for me to find, and when somebody requests it, I
don't have to go in search of it and try and remember - "for that
alignment label that shows a profile elevation, did I hide it in the
alignment label styles or the profile label stlyes???"

Keep in mind that I'm very frequently creating new templates that may
require one of these special styles, so speed of going back to them is
pretty important to me.
