Alignment editing

I have an existing alignment with and existing profile, design profile, x-sections cut. Now I need to add 2 S curves in the middle of my existing straight alignment. I'm hoping to edit the alignment without loosing anything. I have started with the "Geometry Editor" and have lost over half of my X-sections. Is this possible, or do I need to create a new alignment?

I appears to me that you have redo the sample line group after editing the alignment. It shoudn't be too big of a deal unless you added manual drafting to them. If thats the case copt with a base point before making the new views

Your sections are based on station values from your alignment. You're going to have to edit/add to them anyway, so I think it's best if you delete your section views and the entire sample line group as well. From there, you can go in and add PI's to your alignment and then edit in the curves with no problem. You might want to note that you'll need to edit your profile as well - since your alignment is getting longer your profile will as well, and design profiles are largely unaware of station changes.

As I have thought about this, I may be going the wrong way. What if I keep my current straight alignment but have the road (LT & RT sides) do the S curve and not the alignment. This is new for me so I don't know if I try to figure out "Feature Lines" or is there another way.
