AECOBJEXPLODE not working properly

I'm trying to use eTransmit and/or AECOBJEXPLODE to archive my drawings.  My drawings have C3D entities in them (i.e. tin surfaces, surface labels, profiles/profile views, etc.)  When I either run the AECOBJEXPLODE on its own or thru eTransmit, a few things happen.

1.  The Surface and Contour labels lose their background masking that is set in the style.

2.  Surfaces (displayed as contours) do not explode down to linework.  They are converted to blocks, even though I've turned off the "convert to block" function in the command. Also, it combines the two separate surfaces into one block.

3.  A wipeout that is in an XREF file, comes to the front hiding everything that is supposed to be above it, after it is bound thru AECOBJEXPLODE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bumping this post again...any ideas as to why it's not exploding my surfaces (displayed as contours) to standard linework would be appreciated.
