AECC_SURFACE_ELEVATION_LABEL appear as ???

Using Civil 3d 2015. Recently received a DWG and PDF from surveyor, DWG was also created in Civil 3d 2015. In the PDF, spot elevations appear as numbers (851.6). However when opening the DWG, ALL of the spot eelvations appear as ???.

Any thoughts on why this may be occuring? PDF attached to this post.

Thanks,

-Mike

Sounds like the Surface that was labeled was data referenced into the dwg. The drawing containing the surface must be available in order for the surface labels to be populated. Or, the surveyor needs to promote the surface to the drawing he gives you.

Another possible issue is that the surface was built using an external file (point file, landxml, etc.) that needs to be available for the drawing to build the surfcae correctly.

Yes, thank you....once I relinked the surface to the correct external DWG, that solved the problem. thank you.
