Add New Line Type?

I'd like to have a linetype that is a solid polyline with open circles every so often indicating a proposed field tile line.  I'd also like to have the same line filled in circles to indicate existing tile.

How do I go about creating each line?

I'm in 2010 C3D.

Thanks!

Using the line command and the continuous linetype, draw what your line looks like complete with gaps.  the draw your circle.  That circle needs to be a SHAPE.  use the MKSHAPE command to create the shape then use the SHAPE command to insert that shape at the same location as the circle.  Then use the MKLTYPE command to make the linetype.

See the Hep pages for more details.

THIS related thread in the AutoCad discussion groups may help.

Youtube also has some general information re: creating custom linetypes.
