Add a vertical curve between new profile and existing

Hello,

I am working on a corridor. I have a proposal profile, and now i wanted to add a vertial curve between the new profile and exsiting. (see attached.) but i have not done before.

Could someone please give me a hand on this? I can send the file to your direct email.

Thank you very much,

Dennis

Are you trying to add the VC to the existing grade break at the current location, or do you want to move it over to make room for the curve to fit?  Your profile grid, and probably your alignment isn't long enough to add the curve at the current location.

Extend your Layout Profile and include the Vertical Curve in the Layout Profile.

Trace a portion the EG profile to match the existing "grade in" to your proposed PVI using the Profile Layout Tools.

I have already extended the existing profile another 50 feet.

I don't understand your instructions. Could you please tell me step by step?

Dennis,

First be sure your Alignment is long enough as Steve mentioned.

Extend the Profile View to allow for your desired 60' curve, your Grade break is @ 5+97 and the Profile ends at 6+00.

Extend the end of your Layout Profile to say 6+35 or greater to match Existing Profile. Grip edit works well for moving the end to a new location.
