actual catach basin part size

when i am laying out a storm sewer pipe network  with structure sizes that vary i notice no matter what the structure size it always appears the same size in plan view. does anyone know how to fix this or is this one of those things that its alway shown the same size for all and only different in profile view.

The first thing to do is to see if your part style is displaying the actual part size. Edit the part style and go to the Plan tab. Make sure it is set to show the actual part size in plan view. If this is already set you may be looking to edit the part list so it contains the specific part size you need.

that worked except in 2012 doesn't have a show actural part size selection it has show part size outer boundary by selecting that it change to the actural size.
