A COGO point Z modification does nothing with surface out of date???

Hello i have a problem (a bug?)

I have a point group used in a surface.

I click on a point, change its Z and .... nothing more ocurrs.

I have to click on surface, context - surface properties, click on accept and then ... yes the surface is now  showing the out of date .

What is happend ? Thanks.

If you modify a point belonging to a point group used in the surface definition the "Point Group" containing the modified point must be updated before updating the surface.

Prospector>Point Groups heading>Rt Click>update (This will update all point groups at once.)

C3d has no means of Automatic "Point Group" update out of the box.

How are you editing the Z? If I just edit the elevation in the Properties dialog, I see the same thing you do and I need to update the PointGroup. However, if I select a point, right-click, choose Datum, then raise/lower the point by whatever amount to get the desired elevation, the surface updates immediately.

Both are right....

But what a unreliable behaviour, isn't it ?

Thanks

The post marked as "Accepted Solution" has nothing to do with a solution to the problem in the Original Post.
