90 Deg Turn on Road

I need to make a corridor model do a 90 deg turn. I tried with a basic lane
and it couldn't do the corner.

I then changed to BasicLaneTransition and attached to the edge of the road.
I have set sampling stations at the corner and two edges. I have also tried
adding a small radius to the center line

I still can't force it to do the corner.

Is this possible to do?

Oddly I was able to get it to work (for the most part) with
LinkWidthAndSlope.

I haven't tried this but it seems like a basic lane will only work is the centerline radius is greater than or equal to the width of the inside lane.

If you need a tighter radius, or no radius, you're going to need a transition lane on the inside, tied to an offset alignment so it will stretch.

I believe that is what I have tried to do. I have a basic transition lane
using the inside and outside of the road as the edge of road.

It does better than basic lane but still won extend all the way to the
corners as shown on the png in the original post.

Where exactly do you want the 90 degree bend to be?

1) At the inside edge with a curved cl. and curved outside edge.
2) At the inside edge and the cl. with a curved outside edge.
3) At all three locations.

#1 is easy to do. Use a cl. radius equal to the inside land width. It does create a grading issue at the inside edge. (its vertical! - see pic)

I managed to get the outside edge to work, still no luck on the inside. I was able to have it model the outisde edge by adding a small curve on the cl alignment. I then added a few extra samples along the outside edge.
