3D faces in Civil 3D

I am using Civil 3D 2015 and would like to have my surface in 3D faces. I could always do this in LDT but don't know how to creat it in Civil 3D.

Any help would be appreciated. I think that all banding in Civil 3D is 2D.

set up the surface style to only show the triangles, and on the triangle tab make sure the triangles are using the suface elevation for display.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

If you actually need 3DFaces rather than wanting to see the triangles. Select the Surface and on the Ribbon, under Surface Tools, select Extract Objects. This will extract the 3DFaces and add them to the drawing. The 3DFaces will no longer be part of the Civil 3D surface and are usually only used for exporting to software that doesn't handle LandXML.

Thanks. That is exactly what I need - just the 3D faces.
