2D Mapping to 3D Mapping

Hi all,

 

If i have a GPS Survey which i can create a surface from and 2D mapping from GIS records, is there any way to turn the 2D mapping into 3D using the surface data?

This could be done by making the 2d linework featurelines and projecting them too the surface so that they take on the elevation of the survey

 

Be careful here you'll want that linework to be in a different site. and I'd keep an untouched version. You should use multiply sites as there interaction with the surface will cause them to segement based on surface triangles.
