2013 Memory Leak?

I have been having issues with Civil 3D crashing to desktop ever since they installed a new work station for me. So I have tried a number of things that I thought might help me from crashing including:

  1. Graphics driver update
  2. .NET 4.5 reinstall
  3. Direct X reinstall (although I do not think this matters much)
  4. SP2 installed (which includes Hot Fixes 1, 2 and 3)
  5. Reinstalled Civil 3D 2013
  6. Shut down background services
  7. Purged and audited files
  8. Uninstalled drawing tabs for 2013 (https://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/ACD/Detail/Index?id=adn.exchange.autodesk.com%3ADrawing-Tabs%3Aen...
  9. IT did a thorough virus scan as well as workstation cleaning
  10. Set CACHEMAXTOTALSIZE to 5Gb

When I open a new blank drawing Civil 3D starts off with about 344Mb in memory and the system is at 13% memory usage total. I have noticed that just making a selection box (click-drag-click) adds around .25 to .5 megabytes each time I do so. Is this normal? Could this be a problem?

If not, does anyone have any other suggestions before we bring it up to our seller/support guy?

System specs can be found in my signature.

Have you tried logging on as a different user and seeing how the programme goes.

Also have a look at resetting civil 3d for your user account.

Have you tried cleaning out your C:\temp directory of C3D related garbage, this is a must on occasion.
