2012 to 2015

we just got 2015 and i'm the lucky one that gets to install it first. i heard that i must uninstall 2012 before installing 2015. is this true? it also seems like there are more than a few issues with 2015. when does the first service pack come out? thanks.

I certainly do not think there is a problem.  As a matter of fact I have:

Civil 3D 2011

       2012

       2013

       2014

       2015

all on the same computer.

"i heard that i must uninstall 2012 before installing 2015. is this true?"

BEst place to check to see if this is true due to software issues is the readme file that comes with the product. This file typically will tell you if special install procedures are required.

Noting of course that this is not a function of a Subscription agreement which may require you to uninstall older versions... (insert angry eyes here).

No-one knows when the service pack gets released.

2015 does have more than a few defects, but they all do. 2012 is no exception. You just have to figure out if that particular version is for you.
