2012 3D Cursor & Toolbar issues

I folks I am having problems with the following two problems, in civil 3d 2012, any help would be great.

#1. Curser dissappears and will not work over view area after a "Qsave". Most of the time I have to restart the program or even restart my system. It will work over the toolbars and ribbons, but disappears of the view area.

#2. Anyone having problems with toolbars staying locked in place? Close the program, open it back up and they all appear at the upper left corner instead of where you positioned them and then locked them.

Previously posted solution

#2:

Make sure to save the Workspace after you get the toolbars where you want them. I'm not positive this will fix it, but I'm pretty sure it will.

Thanks for the idea on re-saving the workspace. Tried it then closed program...tools bars were back in top left corner.

Do you have the workspace set to 'automatically save changes'

Yes the workspace is set to "automaticly Save Changes".
