2008\acadmap.arx invalid

Any ideas as to what is causing this at startup in all Civil 3D programs?

I guess it comes down to what you mean by "all Civil 3D programs". There's actually only one Civil-3D. Either you are running it, or you aren't.

It looks like you either loaded a Land Desktop profile into Civil-3D, or you are using Land Desktop and not Civil-3D. It's a bit difficult to tell.

My guess is that you are another casualty of Autodesk's naming choices. They included the words "Civil 3D" in products that are NOT Civil-3D, creating all kinds of confusion.

If you are running "Autocad Civil-3D Land Desktop Companion", then you are running Land Desktop, NOT Civil-3D. If you are running "Land Enabled Map", you are running Map 3D, and not Civil-3D. If you are running "Civil-3D as Autocad 2008", you are running plain-jane vanilla Autocad, and not Civil-3D.

When Autodesk migrated from Civil being a add on to LDD to Civil 3D it comes with two disk on with Civil 3D and Civil 3D as AutoCAD and the other disk with LDD companion and Map companion which was referring to as "all Civil 3D programs". Sorry for the confusion.

Well, it's still impossible to tell which one you are trying to run.

The messages you posted contain lines from Land Desktop. So, if you are running C3D, it looks like you loaded a Land Desktop profile into Civil-3D. That won't work.

But it's also possible that you are trying to run Land Desktop, and you have something configured wrong. In that case, you are actually posting in the wrong group - there's a different one for Land Desktop - but people here might be able to help you anyway.

However, first, we need to know which one you are trying to run, Civil-3D or Land Desktop. Even though they come in the same box, they are completely separate programs. Data can be shared between the two, but otherwise, they are unrelated and incompatible with each other.
